Hey guys, hope you're all well.
I'm brewing a Muntons Gold - Highland Heavy Ale and it's been fermenting for almost 3 weeks now and the ABV is coming out at ~3.3%. The kit says it should be around 4.5%. I have moved it to my secondary FV for now and plan to keg it in a week (pending ABV results). Why is the ABV so low? My OG was 1.037 and FG is 1.012. I have been fermenting at a constant 20 degrees. Was my OG too low? If so I don't understand how it could be, I followed the instructions on the kit.
Any ideas? It tastes ok...
Thanks Rod
