A neighbor of mine came into our shop the other day, he is a non brewer, a regular pub goer, and drinks real ales, I gave him a half pint of Muntons Gold Old English Bitter, after he had drank it his words were and I quote :- " That is better than anything that I shall have in the pub tonight, and I shall be paying £3 a pint there."Un quote. The Old English costs 57 pence per pint. Spread the word.

I have been brewing beer for just about a year now and every new brew has turned out well. I take care with getting everything sterilised which I think is crucial to getting a good final product.
The Woodfordes kits make a drinkable ale in a fortnight when I am in a hurry.
I always come back to Burghley Home Brew for my next kit and greatly appreciate the opportunity to try a selection before deciding which one to do next.
On the rare occasions I do have a pint in the pub I am always disappointed when I compare it to my homebrew and begrudge paying the £3 or so. Previously I was drinking bottled beers taking advantage of the 4 for £6 at Morrisons/Tesco etc. but even this seems expensive now compared to home brewing.
Fancy something darker for the winter so will be in soon for a Porter.
