today im smelling the house out and brewing a ipa with vic secret hops . hoping for a golden 5% ish citrus ale

Sounds good... I'm still on the kit brews at the moment- I have an Amarillo hop finished IPA maturing, and in an FV I've got Milestone American IPA with added spray dried malt; I'm going to dry hop finish it with Simcoe dried leaf hops. Aiming for about 4.8% for that one. The Amarillo IPA should be about 5.5%.

ive never dry hopped simcoe , but make a simcoe / citra ipa . simcoe can give a cat p@&s smell and taste let me know how you get on with the dry hopping please ......

I never usually rack to a second FV prior to kegging, but may try that next time and then compare notes on the two. Hopefully the Amarillo hop finished IPA should be ready to try in a couple of weeks....

I always rack off to seconderry fv , only to get it clearer . I very rarely use finnings as I use irish moss in the boil . as I force carbonate I like it bright as possible ......warren
