it would be nice to get this forum up and running with lots of users . i use a few online ones on fb which are good for tips receipes etc . there is a lot of brewing activity in the peterborough area but are either other forum members or groups of mates . there is a vast ammount of knowledge out there which can be shared . personally i have been brewing for 20+ years and brew mostly from all grain with my own receipes or ones i have found on the net . i use corny kegs , plastic and steel barrels and bottle as well . when i need a quick beer i still make the odd kit as well ..........come on people get off yer butts and keep the local people brewing and involved ........
cheers warren

Thanks Warren...your interest is greatly appreciated...now that I am back in charge, I hope that we can get things back to how they were. We are getting well stocked up again...2 deliveries today plus the Hambleton Bard delivery last week...that gets the shop looking fairly well stocked. Regards Les.

I'm sure I posted a reply to this already. I think a lot of people find forums like this difficult to keep in our minds, preferring to use facebook groups to have all our hobby discussions in one place.
As such I am in the process of creating a facebook group for Peterborough Home Brewers, feel free to find it and join. I hope it can help the community and support Burghley Home Brew.

Hi Rodders and Les (and anyone else)
Just seen this post and interested to get involved when I can make the time. I've been brewing for 8 years and about to start my first all grain brew (or possibly do an extract one first) and also considering cornies, so info sharing would be useful and interesting
Cheers
Owy

Hello Owy Good to meet you...cannot say that I am a great believer in all grain brews...too time consuming...and never been convinced that the end result is any better and if as good as the better quality kits such as the Festival Kits which include every mortal thing including the priming sugar and extra hop packet to include if you want to....Well worth a try.

Hi Les Yes I recall you saying that to me the other week- well, we shall give it a whirl and see... I'll be in to get some ingredients to give it a try. You're right though, the Festival and Bulldog kits will take quite a lot of beating. Especially Evil Dog- can't get enough of that one! Owy

greetings ...... I must admit all grain is time consuming but ive found that the style of beers I like to drink now are not readily available in kit form ....so I don't mind spending the five hours in my man cave mashing etc because I can always have a tipple whilst in there as well.....
